PRIVACY NOTICE
Bureau Nine Ltd is the data controller for information you send through this site.
What we collect. When you use the contact form we receive the name, organisation, email address, phone number and message you type, the access code you entered, together with the date and time, your country and IP address (recorded by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, to prevent abuse) and your browser type. We do not use cookies or browser storage and we do not run third-party analytics or advertising. Our own cookie-free analytics record the pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, links and buttons clicked (their text only, never anything typed), the referring site, device type, approximate location and an identifier that changes every 30 days and cannot be tied to a person; they do not store IP addresses. Some visits are also recorded as a replay of what the page showed and how it was scrolled and clicked, with anything typed into a form masked before it leaves the browser; replays are kept for 14 days. The name of the organisation that owns the network a visit came from may be recorded where it is a business or public body, never a home or mobile network.
Why. To reply to you and, if we go on to work together, to set up that relationship. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)); once we are in a contract with you it is the performance of that contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
How long. Enquiries are kept for 12 months and then deleted, unless they become client records, which are kept for the length of the engagement plus six years for tax and legal reasons.
Who sees it. Only Bureau Nine Ltd. Messages pass through Cloudflare (hosting) and our email provider, both acting as processors under contract. Nothing is sold or shared with anyone else.
Your rights. You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our use of it, by emailing [email protected]. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
